On Oct 16th, Venturing Crew 1716 experienced Halloweekend at Cedar Point. The weather was absolutely fantastic! That's what everyone else decided and there were lots and lots of people there with us! With 6 of us (Kim, Christian, Emma, Francesca, Diane Lynn, and Ed Haefner), we stuck together for the day. (Six people works out really well on rides.) We went on the Maverick, the Mantis, and the Raptor. There were very long lines! After dinner we went to 3 haunted trails including the Corn Stalker maze. We discovered that while there didn't seem to be any fear of the extreme rides, some of the crew had issues with the haunted trails! We had lots of fun!

Crew 1716 spent 9 days canoeing through the Canadian wilderness in Quetico Provincial Park. The Northern Tier Crew consisted of Diane, Ross, Travis, Anita, Logan, and our Interpreter Whitney. We canoed over 100 miles, saw 17 eagles, pictographs, and several beautiful waterfalls, portaged over fallen trees and moose muck, spent time climbing rocks and cliff diving, relaxing, enjoying the beautiful sights, and having fun. The crew was great, the interpreter was fantastic, and the weather was gorgeous!
