Diane Lynn is our Crew Advisor. As a youth, she achieved the highest award in girl scouting. She is one of the founding members of BSA Venturing Crew 1716 and has participated in five super summer high adventures with the crew as well as most school year adventures.

Dave Kelley learned to love the outdoors while hiking, camping and whitewater canoeing with the Scouts. He's been a member of three Troops and one Explorer Post in three states. He explores and maps horizontal and vertical caves with the Blue Grass Grotto - National Speleological Society. He trekked Philmont Scout Ranch as a youth way back in '64, returned as an Advisor in '06, and canoed Northern Tier in '07. He's currently an Assistant Scoutmaster with BSA Troop 1707 and an Associate Advisor for BSA Venturing Crew 1716.

Steve Lagreca’s wanderlust for hiking and backpacking has taken him to 95 national and state parks, in 7 countries. He shares that wanderlust with others by volunteering as an Associate Advisor for BSA Venturing Crew 1716 and leading the Philmont contingent for Detroit Area Council.

Allison Kneisler's enthusiasm has propelled the Crew on high adventures to Killarney Provincial Park, Great Smoky Mtn. Natl. Park, Philmont Scout Ranch, and Alaska. She is the lead advisor for our BSA Venturing Crew's 2009 return to Philmont.

Tanya Lynn began to camp out at 6 weeks old, and has been backpacking since the age of 14! After participating in Girl Scouts for twelve years, she helped found Venturing Crew 1716 seven years ago. She's canoed Kilarney Provincial Park, and trekked the Great Smoky Mtn. Nat'l Park and Philmont ScoutRanch. She's currently an Associate Advisor for BSA Venturing Crew 1716.

Lee Matthews lost his soul to the wilderness backcountry many years ago in the Sangre de Cristo mountains of Philmont Scout Ranch. Since then he has hiked, backpacked, climbed, biked or canoed in all regions of the contiguous United States. Besides serving as an Associate Advisor for BSA Venturing Crew 1716, Lee is an Assistant Scoutmaster with BSA Troop 1707 where he helps facilitate their high adventure program.

Nicholas Rivard cannot be bound. He's trekked over 80 miles with the Philmont crew in '06 and is always looking for a new challenge in which to learn and teach others. He is currently an Associate Advisor for BSA Venturing Crew 1716 and an Assistant Scoutmaster for Troop 154.
